After opening gifts at Nini and Gramps house Mema and Grandpa braved the snow in their 4 wheel drive to come pick us up so we could celebrate the Pauley family Christmas!
I am so glad they did.
Having to work extra hard to get to where we were going, and having to hear lots of stories from friends who missed out on their normal Christmas traditions made me appreciate and ever so grateful for ours. It was such a blessing to spend the afternoon together. Although the weather prevented us from being able to visit Gordon at Madonna, the spirit of Christmas, and Love of family was warmly felt among all, which was a true reflection of Gordon and Phyllis and the importance placed on family and togetherness. So while Gordon was not there with us physically, Gordon's spirit, laughter and love was present through the loving family he has helped create.
